SHIOKOJI BRIDGE, EAST OF KYOTO STATION
For visitors who come to Kyoto by Shinkansen, and then head north, this is
their first impression. For Kyoto, which claims to be a Tourist City of
International Culture, this scene is disgraceful. It should be required
that the design of public places of such prominence be of high quality, so
that they set an example for the general area.
